Wes Goldwater Was Honored With the “Top 100 Leaders in Health Care Award” at IFAH, Vegas 2019.

Las Vegas, Nevada — July 1, 2019 — Wes Goldwater was honored with the “Top 100 Leaders in Health Care Award” for his significant contributions towards the health care sector at IFAH 2019, held at Caesars Palace, Vegas on June 18–20, 2019.

Wes Goldwater is the Chief Information Officer at Infection Controls, Inc. Wes loves writing software and creating processes that help break the chain of infection. His work history includes 12 years of health care industry experience in operations, regulatory, and information technology roles. Wes is the statistician on several research posters focusing on innovations in infection prevention strategies.

When asked what led him to winning this award, Wes said, “We’ve been developing for the Infection Controls base for the past decade and the whole goal of the software is to help detect and prevent infections so that we’re catching them as early as possible. It really helps and changes lives in the industry.” When asked about his vision, Wes said, “Our goal is to achieve the goal of zero infections. We know that this can’t be possible but, there’s going to be a lot of change that has to happen within the industry. What we’re trying to do is provide behaviour changes that are driven by software that helps prompt that. We’re also trying to provide data that helps users detect trends earlier, so that we can prevent infections faster.”

Wes earned his BBA from Lubbock Christian University in 2004 and his MBA with a focus in Health Organization Management from Texas Tech University in 2007. He is an ASQ certified Six Sigma Green Belt and AHE certified CHEST trainer.
